These activities are designed to complement any social development or emotional learning intervention program.
Fundación Sanders has an on-going collaboration with a division of the regional government of Madrid, the Instituto Madrileño de la Familia y el Menor (IMFM), to develop a comprehensive set of developmental activities aimed at youth from 6 -17 years of age and enhanced by the use of multi-media and on-line educational resources.These activities are being designed to support formal education curriculum in addition to holistic youth intervention programs and cover the following development areas:
- Personal Development
- Emotional Intelligence
- Drug Prevention
- Health and Wellness
- Family Values
Each new digital activity is accompanied by a comprehensive teaching manual and links to on-line instructional training material designed to prepare teachers or after school center coordinators with the knowledge needed to incorporate material within their program.
Activities are designed to be visual, didactic, memorable, interactive and accessible to kids and parents outside of the traditional classroom period to improve learning cohesion.
